What is UU Wellspring?

A lit chalice outline with blue and green watercolor paint backgroundUU Wellspring is a program of spiritual deepening for Unitarian Universalists. Group members experience deep listening and spiritual reflection in small groups of about ten, inspiring personal and community transformation. Participants read, view and respond to presession assignments that are focused on spiritual topics and UU Theology. Facilitators are lay leaders or religious professionals who receive clear, complete and easy-to-access and use materials.

The core program begins with a 10-month program called Sources, which is a prerequisite for the other yearlong programs. New shorter programs are also offered as UU Wellspring Reads  or for Youth and Young Adults. Most participate through their congregations but online cohorts are also offered. See the descriptions below.

A sense of personal purpose and meaning arises from UU Wellspring’s unique combination of spiritual practices, spiritual companionship, readings, and heart-opening sessions. A sustaining joy emerges while deepening commitment to making change in ourselves and our world.

Note: We offer programming for Congregations as well as online programs for individuals to enroll in. All programs are avaailable for congregations at all times. Individual programs are offered online on on rotating basis. See the lists below for all congregational programs and the invidiual programs that are open for enrollment now.

UU Wellspring Vision

Develop personal and communal depth to fully live Unitarian Universalism.

UU Wellspring Mission

UU Wellspring provides tools to create inclusive, accountable, spiritually deep religious community. Personal inner work evolves in covenanted relationship to create a path toward spiritual wholeness and faithful action that is essential to our collective liberation.

UU Wellspring Associations: Please note that UU Wellspring inc is a UUA-affiliated organization, but we are not the UUA. If you want to donate through the UUA, you can do so by identifying UU Wellspring as a designated affiliated organization. The UU Wellspring Board has adopted the Eighth principle and is continuing the work to incorporate this principle into our work and live into all that it inspires to bring an anti-oppressive lens to all that we do.
